Alexandra Haddad
Alexandra Haddad (she/her) is a Third Culture Kid who directs, develops, and produces new theatrical work. Alex is especially drawn to funny and scary plays about women, queer people, and people of the Global Majority. She makes work and processes that entertain, enrich, and elicit visceral reactions, while building community for audiences and artists.
Directing premieres: BERLIN (Saphhest), Serials, PEACH BOY (Pan Asian Repertory - Nu Works), BLOOD ORANGE (The Elif Collective), POOLSIDES (the pebble collective), THE BROKEN BRAIN BREAKUP GAME (Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective), BARD OVERBOARD (SoHo Playhouse).
Directing new work development: Vaibu Mohan (produced by Live and In Color), Abigail Duclos (produced by The Elif Collective), Kenjiro Lee (produced by Leviathan Lab).
In addition to world premieres, she creates postcolonial revivals of Shakespeare, Sondheim, and others.

Alex also intimacy choreographs, fight choreographs, writes, sound designs, and dramaturgs.
She has an Advanced Plus Diploma from Theatrical Intimacy Education, where she is also Associate Faculty.
