emily/BUBECK - creator, producer, priestess

emily/BUBECK is a Queer, Catholic, Appalachian theatre practitioner and multi-disciplinary artists working out of Brooklyn. emily facilitates the development and consumption of new works by traditionally underrepresented artists. She is drawn to projects that allow us to expand our ideas on how we tell stories and who those stories serve. emily is a co-founder and co-artistic director of BREAKING & ENTERING THEATRE COLLECTIVE, where she has produced 5 seasons of the site specific ROOFTOP READING series. She is currently the Development Associate at New Dramatists, where she is proud to fundraise for the prolific organization and provide space for the future of American storytelling. emily is a jack of all trades, which gives her the context she needs to properly facilitate the theater making process, as well as an ingrained sense of respect for the various artists, collaborators, hourly workers and vendors that make this work possible. Her love for her community is reflected in her work, and she relishes the opportunity to tell stories - whether she is producing, performing or picking up the trash afterwards.

Molly Van Der Molen - creator & director

Molly Van Der Molen (she/her) is a playwright, director and creative producer based in NYC and the SF Bay Area. Molly is dedicated to curating opportunities for emerging artists and envisions a sustainable future for the theatre industry that is radically collaborative, equitable and accessible. Henry Lombino - producer

Henry Lombino is a producer, choreographer, and writer based in New York City and originally hailing from Western Massachusetts. He is a Line Up Resident Artist and Associate Executive Producer with Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective. Henry specializes in site-specific work and has helped bring shows to life in concert halls (CAPTAIN ZUKE LIVE AT JOE'S PUB), apartments (THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING, NYT Critics Pick), parks (PARK PLAY), and entire homes (THE HOME PROJECT). In the past he’s worked in artistic and administrative roles at Keen Company, 24 Hour Plays, Serials, Jacob’s Pillow, Page 73, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Dance/USA. Henry strongly believes in promoting accessibility in the performing arts and in breaking down barriers of entry for both artists and audiences. Xander Browne - composer & cantor

Xander Browne (he/they) is a queer Black composer/writer based in Brooklyn whose work explores the various intersections of religion, sexuality, race, technology, and conservation. He has music-directed workshops at The Public, The Flea, and the American Theater Project. His musical W a t c h M e has been workshopped with NYTW, Breaking & Entering Theater Collective, and Roundabout. His musical The Last Vampyre was a finalist for Live & In Color’s Bingham Camp Musical Retreat and a semi-finalist for the Pipeline Award.

Alex Church-Gonzales - costume design

Alex Church-Gonzales is an interdisciplinary theatremaker, who gravitates towards the surreal, silly, and spectacular. A Swiss Army knife of the downtown theatre scene, Alex has collaborated on projects at La Mama ETC, Apocalyptic Artists, Keen Company, LIU Post, The Miranda Family Fellowship, Flamboyán Theater, The 14th St Y, Classic Stage Company, The Anthropologists, CO_LAB Theater Group, The Old Stone House, Dixon Place, and more. Karen Marulanda - collaborator & handmaiden

Karen Marulanda (she/her/ella) is a Colombian Nicaraguan-American actor, writer and director based in NYC. She is a proud Line Up member of Breaking and Entering Theatre Collective and a dedicated @serialsnyc company member. Recent favorite acting credits include America's Next Top Ultimate Supreme Goddess by Paige Esterly (Pocket Theatre Company) and Henry Hicks, Attorney at Cowboy Law by Jack McManus (NY Fringe). Her short plays have been produced at Caveat with Fucked Up Play Fest and at The Tank with Serials NYC. Michael Ortiz - collaborator & deacon

Michael Ortiz (he/him) is a multi-hyphenate theater artist hailing from the state of Florida. He formerly served as a Co-Artistic Director of Breaking & Entering Theater Collective, and he currently produces and hosts the flagship late-night series SERIALS at The Tank. As a producer, Michael creates low-stakes avenues for artists to develop new work, while aiming to give theatergoers more of an active stake in the development process. He is an avid gamer, a lover of all things spooky, and possibly the missing link (to what? we don’t know). Various acting credits include Henry Hicks, Attorney at Cowboy Law (New York Fringe), Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic (New World Stages), Stocked (The Chain Theater Festival), Fucked Up Play Fest (Caveat), Drunk Shakespeare: Othello (Williamstown Theater Festival), The Fez (The Flea Theater), Rule of 7x7 (The Tank), Gator Tales (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Sidewalk Eggs (Young Playwrights Festival at the Eugene O'Neill Center).

Sophia Quiroga - collaborator & handmaiden

Sophia Quiroga (she/they) is a Brooklyn-based actor and poet. A graduate of San Antonio’s North East School of the Arts and the University of Texas at Austin, Sophia appeared in productions like Milton, Mi. (UTNT) and Your Mother’s Copy of the Kama Sutra (Present Company) before heading to NYC in 2019. Since the move, they have appeared in Girlhood (B&E), Antigonick (Torn Out Theatre Company), Abandon Hope: Bees Who Enter Here (B&E), and more. In addition to their acting work, Sophia is a writer and the lead poet for roga, an experimental poetry band they formed with Altimetry and E.B. Hinnant. Sophia is so grateful to be a part of this project and couldn't be prouder of Bubeck!

Josh Reiter - collaborator & servant

Josh is a New York-based actor, director, and producer. His performance credits span regional theaters like Saratoga Shakespeare Company, West Coast Jewish Theatre, and the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, as well as on-screen appearances in Peacock's Saved By The Bell, Nickelodeon's Warped!, BET's The Michael Blackson Show, and the upcoming feature Concessions (Mas Bodi). He has appeared Off Broadway in Ze Follies Doree and has been working closely with B&E since 2022. He's so excited to get to bring this beautiful story to life!
