Kamila Boga - Playwright

Kamila Boga (Playwright - she/her) is a director, actor, and playwright from Los Angeles. Fueled by the belief that creatives are second responders, she develops and directs expressive, ensemble-driven work that turns tension into art. Currently, Kamila attends Columbia University, where she studies Creative Writing and Drama and Theatre Arts. Her plays have been developed by The Road Theatre Company, Boise Contemporary Theater, Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, Horizon Theatre Company, and Dartmouth College. Kamila is thrilled to work with Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on new work.

Samantha Toy Ozeas - Director

Samantha Toy Ozeas (she/they) is a Brooklyn-based director, playwright and graduate from the John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. They’ve directed alongside Ma-Yi Theater Company, SheNYC, Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, Grassroots Artist Collective, Southern Plains Productions, and worked as an assistant / associate at Playwrights Horizons, Audible Theater and Santa Cruz Shakespeare.

Samantha has served as a narrative shorts programmer for the Asian American International Film Festival by AsianCinevision for the past two years. They are a member of the 2024-2025 Roundabout Director’s Cohort and a 24 Hour Plays: Nationals Alum.

Emily S. Chang - Mads

Emily S. Chang (she/her) is an NYC based artist. Regional:The Coast Starlight (Milwaukee Repertory Theater); As You Like It and A Midwinter Night’s Dream (The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey); The Tempest, Into the Woods, and The Bridges of Madison County (Texas Shakespeare Festival); Domesticated (Steppenwolf Theatre) and Seussical (Chicago Shakespeare Theater). NYC: Treasure Island (Dartboard Productions), Cymbeline (NAATCO), The Ballad of Keith King (NYC premiere workshop) and Nannyville (Grassroots Arts Collective). Desmond Fernandez - Nico

Desmond Fernandez was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently resides in Carteret, NJ. From a young age, he has used his passion for the arts and love of people to make a positive impact in his community. Whether it’s lighting up children’s faces while performing as their favorite characters on the stage— or fighting for justice, equality, and love within dramatic tension-filled plots— Desmond wears his heart on his sleeve both on and off stage. In his spare time, Desmond enjoys firing up the grill to share a meal with friends, video games, practicing meditation and Reiki, and constantly exposing himself to new creative works and life experiences. A few of his favorite musical artists include Michael Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, James Brown, Adele, and Chaka Khan. He earned his B.F.A. in Acting at Otterbein University.

Julio Cesar Gutierrez - Auggie

Julio Cesar Gutierrez is beyond excited to be playing a part in this reading! He is originally from Miami, FL and he hopes that he is able to radiate that sunlight with everyone he meets. Some of his last credits include; Romeo & Juliet (Romeo), Macbeth (Donalbain), Big Love (Nikos). He would love to acknowledge his friends and family for all the support, help and love he’s received over the years.


Jade Lourdes Langan - Blake

Jade Lourdes Langan is a Brooklyn-based actress and super excited to be a part of this process. After getting her BFA from Carnegie Mellon, she moved to NYC to further pursue acting. Outside of acting and waitressing, she loves long walks, trying new food, and petting every cat she finds. She finds an unimaginable joy within acting and hopes to pursue it in all its forms, including, but not limited to film, theatre, and posting her POV content on TikTok. Cheyenne Springette - Sula

Cheyenne Springette is a Carnegie Mellon University alum and Pittsburgh-born actor, writer, and filmmaker currently based in New York City. She loves all things dark comedy, lyrical language, film, and devising. She is currently working on her first short film, which explores current news, relationships, and metaphorical physicality.

Cheyenne is also the co-founder of Dartboard Production Company, a nonprofit organization producing film and theater that aspires to inspire with each new season. She takes pleasure in turning nothing into something and believes that now, more than ever, is the time to innovate and state where it is we stand. Cheyenne is thrilled to be working with the Breaking & Entering Theater Collective on the Rooftop Reading Series for the second year in a row!

Emily (or Bubeck, whatever name is easiest for you) is a Queer, Catholic, Appalachian Theatre Fiber & Performance Artist. She’s a Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, and by day she’s the Development Associate at New Dramatists. Molly Van Der Molen -

Producer

Molly Van Der Molen (she/her) is a playwright, director and creative producer based in NYC and the SF Bay Area. She’s a proud Co-Artistic Director of Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective and the Company Associate at Shotgun Players in Berkeley, CA. Molly is dedicated to curating opportunities for emerging artists and envisions a sustainable future for theatre that is radically collaborative, equitable and doesn’t shy away from what’s true. She’s a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and a die hard lover of ice cream.

Josh Reiter - Stage Directions

Josh is a New York-based actor, producer, and coach, bringing a multifaceted approach to storytelling. His performance credits span regional theaters like Saratoga Shakespeare Company, West Coast Jewish Theatre, and the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, as well as on-screen appearances in Peacock's Saved By The Bell, Nickelodeon's Warped!, BET's The Michael Blackson Show, and the upcoming feature Concessions (Mas Bodi). He recently appeared Off-Broadway in Ze Follies Doreé at the AMT Theater. This is Josh's 12th production with B & E and he absolutely LOVES being a part of this fantastic and supportive community!
