Emani Simpson - Playwright

EMANI BRIELLE SIMPSON is an actor, producer, multi hyphenated artist. She is the founder of the production company, The Real Artists (TRA), whose mission is to create an inspirational environment where artists can hone their crafts, thrive and network to build a career out of their passions. Emani is passionate about bringing artists together and collaborating on new works. She is on the Artistic Programming Committee for Breaking and Entering Theater Collective. She is currently producing a four-week run of Dust of Egypt: Sojourner Truth’s Story at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in March 2026.

Marissa Joyce Stamps - Director

Marissa Joyce Stamps is a Black, Haitian-American NYC-born and based Afrosurreal writer + director who’s often in dialogue with landscape dramaturgy + kinetics. Award/Honors: Princess Grace Playwriting Award, Yale Drama Series Prize Shortlist (selected by Pulitzer Prize-winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins), MacDowell Fellow, 3x O’Neill NPC Finalist. Michelle Chan (she/her) is a director, theatremaker, and producer from Hong Kong. She is a first-gen Taiwanese-American whose work attempts to redefine the roles fabricating the American culture, usually through intersections of gender, class and/or race. Eric Berger - TYLER

Eric is thrilled to be part of this powerful piece with such an amazing group of artists. Eric is a native new yorker who's known he wanted to be a performer since seeing Jim Carrey in The Mask as a little boy. Other theater credits include an upcoming production of Ras(Putin): the Highly Improbable Story of Putin's Rise to Power, regular performer with SERIALS at The Tank, international tour of the one man show HESCHEL'S PASSOVER EVE, SHE'S GOT HARLEM ON HER MIND at Metropolitan Playhouse.

Georgia Kate Cohen - MICHELLE

Georgia Kate Cohen is an actor, born and raised in New York City. She has performed at Ars Nova, Theatre Row, The Tank, Dixon Place, Vineyard Theatre, HB Playwrights Theater, A.R.T/New York, and The Flea Theater - where she originated roles in World Premiere productions by Taylor Mac, Mac Wellman, and numerous cycles of Serials. Georgia still continues to perform regularly with Serials NYC, as a resident company member. Prior to pursuing acting, Georgia trained in classical ballet at the School of American Ballet and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School. Danté Charles Crichlow - JASON

Danté Charles Crichlow is a Caribbean American actor, photographer, and writer based in New York City, with roots in Haiti and Barbados. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, Danté brings a deep curiosity about the human condition and a passion for storytelling that explores our capacity for self-actualization.

Desmond Fernandez - MR. SAMPSON

Desmond was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently resides in Carteret, NJ. From a young age, he has used his passion for the arts and love of people to make a positive impact in his community. Whether it’s lighting up children’s faces while performing as their favorite characters on the stage— or fighting for justice, equality, and love within dramatic tension-filled plots— Desmond wears his heart on his sleeve both on and off stage. In his spare time, Desmond enjoys firing up the grill to share a meal with friends, video games, practicing meditation and Reiki, and constantly exposing himself to new creative works and life experiences. A few of his favorite musical artists include Michael Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, James Brown, Adele, and Chaka Khan. He earned his B.F.A. in Acting at Otterbein University.

Keyana Hemphill - MRS. SAMPSON

Keyana Hemphill (she/her) is a New York-based actor and stage manager. She is excited to be back for another BETHCo project! Most recently, she starred in Atomi Theatre Collective’s A Night of Chekhov at The Rat. BFA: NYU Tisch ‘17. Karen Marulanda - CARMEN

Karen Marulanda (she/her/ella) is a Colombian Nicaraguan-American actor, writer and director based in NYC. She is a proud Line Up member of Breaking and Entering Theatre Collective.  Karen is also a dedicated Serials Company Member and you can see her act in @serialsnyc on December 4th-6th here at The Tank! Natalia Mar Urzua - DOCTOR & MINISTER JOHNSON

 Natalia Mar Urzua is a Latine actor, writer, and combatant based in Brooklyn. They are a company member and community manager for SERIALS. Performing credits include SERIALS (The Tank), C. Lingus, Independent Journalist (Limefest) yo ho. (Pridefest), Taking The Plunge (Fresh Fruit Festival). Fight coordination credits include C. Lingus (Limefest), Pass Over (14th Street Y), Project Sankofa (Powerhouse Theatre), yo ho. (Pridefest).

Michael Ortiz - AARON - Producer

Michael Ortiz (he/him) is an multi-hyphenate theater artist hailing from the state of Florida. He has been a resident with Breaking & Entering since the collective's inception, and he now serves as Co-Artstic Director alongside Emily Bubeck and Molly van der Molen. He is a co-founder of The Fled Collective and he currently produces and hosts SERIALS, an episodic late-night short play competition series. Michael is a firm believer in community building over networking and is passionate about the cultivation of new work and creating opportunities for underrepresented artists, particularly queer artists and artists of color. He is an avid gamer, a home cook, and lover of all things spooky. Hit him up if you ever want to talk D&D or learn to play the spoons!

Christine Pollnow - MS. MADISON

Christine Pollnow is an actor and voice actor. Originally from the Midwest, she calls New York City home and can be seen regularly performing downtown with Serials. Christine attended NYU Tisch and the Stella Adler Studio. When she's not onstage or in her voiceover booth, Christine loves to spend time outdoors with friends and family, or curled up with a good book and her cat Cleo. 

Sophia Radix - EVE

Sophia Radix is an actor & stand-up comic from The Bronx! She’s most drawn to works that highlight Black, Latino, & queer experiences. This year, Sophia was selected to be a member of the Actor’s Center Mentorship Program for 2025-26.  Sophia had her co-directorial debut & played [R]omeo  in R + Jules, a queer immersive theatrical experience, at 3 Dollar Bill. Co-starred in The Good The Bad & Tio Umberto (Delia) which premiered at the New York Latino Film Festival.  Sophia is in the original cast of In The Bronx Brown Girls Can See Stars Too [Gabriela] at Columbia University. Off Broadway: Classic Stage Company: The 24 Hour Plays Nationals 2024, WP Theatre: As I Was, Not As I Am (Laurel), &  Players Theatre: Ectoplasm (Annette). She is a  member of Intar’s Unit 52 cohort of 2024. She earned her B.A in Theatre from Hunter College and A.S in Performing Arts from SUNY Dutchess. Josh Reiter - DONALD

Josh is a New York-based actor, producer, and director, bringing a multifaceted approach to storytelling. His performance credits span regional theaters like Saratoga Shakespeare Company, West Coast Jewish Theatre, and the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, as well as on-screen appearances in Peacock's Saved By The Bell, Nickelodeon's Warped!, BET's The Michael Blackson Show, and the upcoming feature Concessions (Mas Bodi), alongside voiceover dubbing for Netflix. Driven by a passion for project development, Josh is actively expanding his producing portfolio. He has produced Ze Follies Doree (Off-Broadway), Blanche in the Asylum, Faustine, and the upcoming Cemetery Sunset. He has served as Associate Producer for A Light in Dark Places (LA & Dallas) and Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective (NYC) since 2021, and recently established The Reiter Group LLC, his own producing company with multiple theatrical projects in development.

Molly Van Der Molen (she/her) is a playwright, director and creative producer based in NYC and the SF Bay Area. She’s a proud Co-Artistic Director of Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective and the Company Associate at Shotgun Players in Berkeley, CA. Molly is dedicated to curating opportunities for emerging artists and envisions a sustainable future for theatre that is radically collaborative, equitable and doesn’t shy away from what’s true. She’s a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and a die hard lover of ice cream.
