Phanésia Pharel (Playwright)

Phanésia Pharel is a playwright whose plays span revolutions, islands, and Afro-Futurism and the divine metaphysical dilemma of Black girlhood,. Recently her play And Other Dreams We Had was a finalist for the City Theatre National Short Playwriting award and was selected for Smith and Kraus Best Plays of 2020. She is currently an Artist in Residence for New York Stage and Film and was a 2020 National Young Playwright Residency for the Echo Theater Company. She serves as a Teaching Artist for ViBe Theater Experience and is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild of America.

Miosori Polanco (The North Star)

Miosori Polanco is a 4th year actress, writer and student at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, based in New York City. Having worked previously with TDF young playwrights, Manhattan Theatre Clubs’ “Write Now!” program, and viBe theater in collaboration with WP theatre, Miosori has built her foundation in theatre through the intricacies of writing. As a Dominican - American actress, Miosori hopes to continue breaking ethnic barriers in theater and film as her career progresses.

Alexandra Haddad (Director)

Alexandra Haddad is a director with a focus on new work development and plays by women of color. She has trained as an intimacy choreographer with Theatrical Intimacy Education, and brings a consent-based practise to her work. She will graduate from Barnard College in 2021, as a theatre major with a thesis in directing. Upcoming: "The Penelopiad" with the Barnard Theatre Department. Previous credits include: "Bard Overboard" with Online@TheSpaceUK, "Tiles" with Pocket Theatre VR, "Almost, Maine" and "Boy Meets Girl" with Columbia University Players. alexandradarcyhaddad.com

Raven Ray (Sunday)

Raven Ray has appeared in several live and virtual theatre productions. Most recently, you may have seen her in Planet Connections “Winter Winds” Zoom Fest or in The Actor’s Studio reading of “Happy Place”. She received her BA in Theatre as well as African/ African American Studies from the University of Arkansas. She is also an alumna of The American Theatre Wing’s Springboard program and a past apprentice of New York Stage and Film. A native of Conway, Arkansas, she currently is living life "elevated" in Salt Lake City, Utah. She sends her all her joy and all her love.

Sequoiah Blaire Hippolyte (Cleopatra)

Sequoiah Blaire (she/her) is a 21 year old filmmaker and actress from Denver, CO. She currently attends Stanford University where she centers her studies around the infinite realities of Black women and turns to her art to further imagine and center Blackness. Her most recent documentary “Celena and Quincy” explores gender and art for Non-binary Black folks, and she is currently in the process of writing her first screenplay. She is absolutely honored to be in this divine space of Black women, doing what we do so effortlessly- creating.

Journey Brown-Saintel (Lauryn)

Journey Brown-Saintel is a New York-based theater, screen, and voice actress. She is currently earning her BFA in Drama at New York University. She is very excited to collaborate with other artists and to share and perform the playwright's poignant insight into the experiences of being a Black woman.
